OCW CONSORTIUM ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF
2013 COURSE AWARDS FOR OPENCOURSEWARE EXCELLENCE
Awards recognize significant contributions to free and open education

Cambridge, MA – The OpenCourseWare Consortium announces the course winners for the 2013 Awards in OpenCourseWare Excellence.  The award winners were recognized during a special awards ceremony at the annual OCW Consortium Conference held in Bali, Indonesia from 8-10 May 2013.

Awards were given in two categories of open courses – text-based and multimedia.  Text based courses include written materials for the course, including lecture notes, assessments, syllabi, calendars and readings.  Multimedia courses also include video, audio or other type of multimedia presentation of materials.  Winning courses are selected by a committee of educators from around the world.  Courses are produced in a variety of languages and developed by institutions committed to increasing access to high quality higher education for everyone.
