Hopkins Public Health Launches Six New Courses

BALTIMORE (MD) — The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health has recently posted the content of six new courses on its OpenCourseWare Web OCW site at http://ocw.jhsph.edu, bringing the total number of offerings to 31. The School's OCW program was launched one year ago and currently receives over 70,000 page views a month from more than 110 countries, with 38% of the site's visitors coming from outside of the United States.

Course content on JHSPH's OCW site is grouped under the following topics:

  • Behavior and Health
  • Biostatistics
  • Environment
  • General Public Health
  • Global Health
  • Health Policy
  • Injury Prevention
  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Mental Health
  • Nutrition
  • Population Science
  • Public Health Preparedness
  • Refugee Health

New course content added in April 2006 covers public health biology, water sanitation, bioinformatics, global tobacco control, probability and statistical inference, and infant mortality.
